Free — $0/month. Up to 5 apps, 25 message credits and 100 integration credits per month. Base44 states explicitly that a complete, working app can ship on the free plan — it isn't a crippled trial.

Starter — $16/month billed annually (or $20/month month-to-month). Unlimited apps, 100 message credits, 2,000 integration credits, and a custom domain connect.

Higher tiers — Builder at $40/month, Pro at $80/month, Elite at $160/month — add more credits, choice of AI model, and GitHub sync. Most people building one or two real tools never need to go past Starter.

One thing worth knowing: you own what you build. Two-way GitHub sync exports your full source code to your own repository any time, so nothing is locked to the platform if you ever want to leave.

The honest complaints

Trustpilot holds 783 reviews at a 2.8 out of 5 average, and the recurring theme is credits getting consumed debugging bugs the AI itself introduced, rather than new work.

Cancellation and refunds are reported as harder than they should be — one reviewer described paying $300 in a month and getting roughly $30 back. Annual plans lock you in for the year. A handful of users have reported accounts deactivated with no clear explanation, or losing access to their own app's data after a suspension.

Separately, some of Base44's own most engaged builders — on X, responding to a Superagent feature update — have said the app-builder side feels less polished than it used to, with one direct comparison: "Lovable is swimming laps" on design quality.
