AI Agent Platforms Compared: Base44 vs Lovable vs Bolt.new vs Replit
Real, current pricing from each platform's own page, and who each one is actually best for

Last updated Sep. 2026 | By DoitWithAi
"AI agent platform" gets used for two different things. One is a tool that builds software for you when you describe it in plain English: pages, database, logins, hosting. The other is a background agent that keeps working after the build is done, answering messages, following up on leads, updating records without you prompting it each time. Base44 does both. Lovable, Bolt.new and Replit are firmly in the first category, and they are the closest honest comparables on price and on what you get.
Every number below comes from the platform's own pricing page, linked in each row, and was checked in September 2026. Credits, tokens and monthly allowances change often, so click through before you buy.
The comparison table
Base44 pricing page
- Free tier
- Free: 25 message credits, 100 integration credits, up to 5 apps
- Entry paid plan
- Starter $20/mo ($16 billed annually): 100 message credits, 2,000 integration credits, unlimited apps
- Above that
- Builder $50/mo ($40 annually), Pro $100/mo ($80), Elite $200/mo ($160)
Lovable pricing page
- Free tier
- Free: 5 daily build credits, capped at 30 per calendar month
- Entry paid plan
- Pro from $25/mo: 100 monthly credits plus the daily build credits
- Above that
- Business from $50/mo, also 100 monthly credits, plus team features
Bolt.new pricing page
- Free tier
- Free: 1M tokens/month, 300K daily cap, Bolt branding on sites
- Entry paid plan
- Pro $25/mo: from 10M tokens/month, no daily cap, no branding, custom domains, rollover
- Above that
- Teams $30/mo per member: centralised billing and admin controls
Replit pricing page
- Free tier
- Starter: free, daily Agent allowance, limited cloud credits, one published app
- Entry paid plan
- Core $20/mo ($17 billed annually): $20 of monthly credits, full Agent, unlimited published apps
- Above that
- Pro $100/mo ($95 annually): Turbo mode, up to 15 builders, pooled and rolling credits
Note that the units are not comparable across platforms. Base44 counts message and integration credits, Lovable counts credits with a stated dollar value per plan, Bolt counts tokens, and Replit's Core plan is denominated in dollars of model usage. Two $25 plans can buy very different amounts of work.
When to pick Lovable instead
Pick Lovable if visual polish out of the box matters more to you than background automation. Design quality is the one area where Base44's own users compare it unfavourably, as covered in our honest Base44 review. Lovable's Pro plan starts at $25 a month with 100 credits, and Free and paid plans both include 5 daily build credits, so you can keep tinkering daily without a subscription. It has no equivalent of an always-on agent handling your inbox or WhatsApp once the app is live.
When to pick Bolt.new instead
Pick Bolt if you want the most generous no-commitment free trial and predictable usage. The free plan gives 1M tokens a month with a 300K daily cap, and Pro at $25 a month starts at 10M tokens with unused tokens rolling over, which is unusual. It also lets you choose your database provider. It is a front-end-first builder, so if your project is really an ongoing operations tool with an agent behind it, this is not the one.
When to pick Replit instead
Pick Replit if you can read code, or expect to end up editing it. Core is $20 a month ($17 billed annually) with $20 of monthly model credits, full Agent with plan and build modes, and unlimited published apps. It is a real development environment first and an agent second, which is exactly right for technical founders and exactly wrong for someone who never wants to see a file tree.

When Base44 is the right call
Base44 is the pick when the thing you are building has to keep running by itself: a booking flow that confirms appointments, a lead form that replies within a minute, a store that chases abandoned carts. Its Superagent side is the piece the other three do not have. Starter is $20 a month month-to-month, or $16 billed annually, with a 20x jump in integration credits over free, which is the part that matters as soon as you connect a calendar, a payment processor or an email account. If you want the fuller picture including the complaints, read the full Base44 review first.
